Highway Service Group Leader – Tampa Office

The Highway Service Group Leader will be responsible for leading and mentoring the group, managing projects; and the design, management and production of quality roadway plans and studies, profitable project budgets, and leading and developing client marketing including writing proposals, presentations, and interviews.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in project management
  • 12-20 years of progressive design experience in Highway Engineering

Accountant & Contracts Coordinator – Tampa Office

The Accountant & Contracts Coordinator will support the Finance Department in carrying out corporate accounting functions, systems and controls. They will also be responsible for processing incoming and outgoing contracts to clients and other consultant firms. They will be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and able to work in a team environment. The candidate will have strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills. They will be able to multi-task while possessing a can-do, positive attitude. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills and be able to prioritize tasks and duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide accounts payable services to ensure accuracy of data entered into BST Enterprises, review coding and verify math on invoices
  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Process bi-weekly payroll (verifying the PTO availability, supervisor approvals and posting of timesheets)
  • Payroll reconciliations
  • Digitize weekly and monthly records in timely manner
  • Receive and internally route all contracts
  • Coordinate with Consultants, FDA Project Managers, and insurance companies
  • Track review process to ensure the contracts are processed in a timely manner

Software Requirements: Proficient in Microsoft Applications, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook

Education Requirements: B.A. or B.S. in Accounting Required

Work Experience: 0 – 3 years.

Traffic Engineer Intern – Tampa

The Engineer Intern areas of experience could include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of design plans for the construction of traffic signals, signing, pavement marking, roadway lighting and intelligent transportation systems
  • Preparation of traffic operational and safety studies including traffic signal warrant studies, capacity analysis and signal timing studies
  • Familiarity with traffic engineering design and analysis software such as: GuideSign, Synchro and Highway Capacity Software (HCS)
  • Familiarity with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) standards, specifications and practices

Requirements:

  • 0 – 5 years of progressive experience in Traffic Engineering

PD&E Service Manager Tampa Office

Faller, Davis, and Associates, Inc. (FDA) is looking for an exceptionally qualified candidate to build a PD&E service group in our Tampa office.  If you are currently working in a position like this – or are ready to move up to this position — take a look at our exciting opportunity!

The PD&E Service Manager will have experience leading a PD&E Project Team, and be a self-starting, self-motivated and self-managed professional, and be up to the challenge of starting a PD&E Service Group at FDA.

This position will be responsible for building a PD&E Service Group at FDA and will include marketing to existing and new clients, conducting presentations and interviews, managing PD&E projects and supervising and mentoring staff members.

  • 8 – 10 years of progressive experience in the preparation and management of PD&E studies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Planning
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) License in the State of Florida
  • FDOT PD&E experience; NEPA experience; and experience working with FHWA, permitting agencies and local agencies

Document Control Coordinator – Turkey Lake Turnpike Office

The Document Control Coordinator will support the Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise General Engineering Consultant (GEC) Program working as an extension of staff in the client’s office.

The ideal candidate will have a background with document management and control for engineering projects. A broad base of skills, capability and experience is desired in administration and communicating. Willingness to be a team player is a must.

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

  • Coordinate with other consultants’ staff, as well as provide support to the client’s staff on numerous types of projects
  • Collaborate with Client Management in Program Management department
JOB DUTIES
  • Assist client with providing document management and control for multiple tasks and projects
  • Distribute project submittals plans and documentation for review by various consultant and client team members. Post submittals in State-Wide Electronic Review Comments (SWERC) and add to electronic calendar and SharePoint submittal log
  • Distribute Request For Construction (RFC) submittals based on Design-Build documents; post RFC’s in Electronic Review Comments (ERC) system and update electronic calendar and log
  • Coordinate with project managers to stamp plans and approve or reject based on review comments and responses
  • Distribute electronic files representing approved documents
  • Archive Signed and Sealed project documents in Project Solve and internal network system
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate project information on various SharePoint sites
  • Maintain accurate electronic file systems in multiple project folders
  • Assist Plans Coordinator with coordination of document reviews through ERC system
  • Perform Quality Control of documentation scanned by Records Specialist 
REQUIREMENTS
  • Associates Degree in a technical field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Requires minimum of five (5) years of experience in document management and control
  • 5-10 years of experience
  • General Engineering Consultant (GEC) experience is a plus
  • Effective written, oral and listening communication skills in English
  • Manage and review information systems documentation and provide comments to the client
  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and perform multiple work assignments based on established priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft personal computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; working knowledge of SharePoint and other project management / production support systems
