Engineering Intern/Integrated Corridor Management (ICM) Operations Analyst – Maitland/RTMC

The Engineering Intern/ICM Operations Analyst in the FDOT District 5 Regional Traffic Management Center (RTMC) will be responsible for providing a wide variety of engineering support services as defined by the ICM Traffic Signal Timing Engineer and in support of the ICM Corridor Managers.

These efforts will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Analyze operational data related to the ICM Program, including travel time, throughput, stops and delays, and other corridor related functions
  • Analyze traffic safety data, including acquiring crash data and identifying trends
  • Update, compile data and reports in excel spreadsheets with the highest level of proficiency
  • Perform benefit-cost analyses based on operational and traffic safety data analyses
  • Provide investigational and observation services for operational issues
  • Establish and maintain ICM tracking logs, in conjunction with the ICM Corridor Managers
Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Pass FDOT-performed background security check and maintain ability to work within RTMC
  • Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience related to Traffic Engineering
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level II or obtained during employment
  • Florida Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic or Florida Intermediate Temporary Traffic Control Certification or obtained during employment
  • Understanding of traffic data collection processes
  • Knowledge of traffic flow fundamentals
  • Knowledge of traffic signal operations
  • Knowledge of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices
  • Knowledge of Synchro, SimTraffic, and Tru-Traffic or obtained during employment

PD&E Service Manager Tampa Office

Faller, Davis, and Associates, Inc. (FDA) is looking for an exceptionally qualified candidate to build a PD&E service group in our Tampa office.  If you are currently working in a position like this – or are ready to move up to this position — take a look at our exciting opportunity!

The PD&E Service Manager will have experience leading a PD&E Project Team, and be a self-starting, self-motivated and self-managed professional, and be up to the challenge of starting a PD&E Service Group at FDA.

This position will be responsible for building a PD&E Service Group at FDA and will include marketing to existing and new clients, conducting presentations and interviews, managing PD&E projects and supervising and mentoring staff members.

  • 8 – 10 years of progressive experience in the preparation and management of PD&E studies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Planning
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) License in the State of Florida
  • FDOT PD&E experience; NEPA experience; and experience working with FHWA, permitting agencies and local agencies
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Ability to lead
